Playground project

One of our causes is to create a playground around villages place or school in Togo.

CDH is about to implement a project to develop playgrounds for villages and towns in Togo.  CDH had assessed that there is a lack of places where children, youth and the wider community can play creatively, meet relaxedly and be active.  Project Type z in the volunteer program will help children, young people and families to socialise, learn and keep fit. 

We are soon to introduce our community transformation playground (type z in volunteer program) project all around Togo cities and villages.  This will transform village public spaces into playground areas for both play and social meeting.  It will be a collaboration with the whole village and neighbourhood.

Context

We hope to enthuse and involve all kinds of people in Togolese towns and villages. 

The project’s aim is to transform public places by installing playgrounds.  Centre des Hommes plans to use the process of community transformation by the Oasis game.  This is a methodology designed by the Elo’s Institute in Brazil in 2003 for getting communities all over the world to design and cooperatively build ambitious projects to serve their needs.

Objectives

• Organise international and local to create the playgrounds.
• Use the Oasis game to make this a learning experience for participants.
